I was surprised at the feedback; I thought you all might not care about baseball. I'll write an entire post soon so I can spew more wisdom on the subject.
dover--you can only pick ONE, silly. Somehow, though, you ABSOLUTELY nailed the correct answer to the secret, unanswered question. The American League is vastly inferior, and an important reason is that damn Designated Hitter. Worst idea ever.

So I own two Fantasy baseball teams this year, making me a complete expert, right? My take is, ya gotta have the offense. Without hits and runs, you cannot win the game. Yes, your starters, when they get slammed (and they will) can loose you the game, but even if your pitchers' ERA is 0.00 and you have no hits, you can't win.

Defense. It can make up for crappy pitching and lousy offense. But that's just my take...
